Welcome July
Tarot Card of the Month: THE CHARIOT
The Chariot itself represents fresh starts, determination, and drive.
When we channel the energy of the Chariot it helps us to feel strong, driven, and courageous.
For Cancer Season, it is all about the feels! And once Cancer is drawn to something or someone emotionally, they will do whatever it takes to win. In many Rider-Waite-Smith-style tarot decks, we see two sphinxes that are coloured black and white, a symbol of opposing forces that the charioteer must learn to control. The river in the background is symbolic of the need to be in the flow of the rhythm of life.
This card is all about pushing past barriers and riding your way to victory like the blazing force you are. You need change to evolve, but it can be hard to accept change when we long for stability. The Chariot is here to encourage you when you really just want to stay in your shell. I know it’s warm and comfy in there, but use this card to guide you toward your biggest dreams.
Take charge towards your goals in life like the Chariot and be in the cosmic flow of the Universe.
Remember, love always wins!
The Chariot is about venturing out and finding your place in the world. It is an important balance between taking care of the home and being free and independent. While Cancer represents nurturing and the safety of the home, know that the Chariot is a home on wheels and you are able to move forward safely. Before stepping into the unknown, be mindful of home, family, and all that keeps your body and soul together. Cancer is the sign of motherhood, and is therefore tenacious, protective, and incredibly nurturing. Cancers are able to rise above life’s conflicts by moving forward using highly-developed intuition! Represented by the Crab, Cancers tend to keep their feelings inside to avoid getting hurt. Similarly, the Charioteer faces the outside world clad in head to toe armour, protecting him just like a Crab’s shell.
The Chariot is also always accompanied by two protective guides, like sphinxes or horses. In most cases these two guides are shown as a balance of black and white — black symbolising the external armour or shell; white the softer emotions inside.
Ruled by the knowing Moon, Cancers move forward using their highly-developed intuition. Not surprisingly, you’ll find two Moons on the shoulders of the Charioteer’s armour! You’ll also notice Water flowing behind The Chariot, and not only is a Cancer a Water sign, but it’s ruling Moon is directly related to the ocean’s tides.
This card’s forward momentum and determination capture this moment of peak vitality. Something in your life may be at a culmination, though the journey ahead is far from over.
Now you must learn to harness the powerful energies at your disposal, just as the charioteer propels itself forward.
When contemplating this card, ask yourself:
When was the last time a massive expansion in your life brought feelings of exposure or vulnerability?
How did you work through these challenges?
What did you learn by staying the course?

Recipe for heatwaves
Have you ever tried ICED CACAO?
Cacao on ice is one of the best summer refreshments I know of and with the right recipe you can convince even the most doubting friends that ceremonial Cacao is in no way inferior to conventional chocolate drinks!
What you need (for 2 servings):
- 44g Ceremonial Cocoa
- 1-2 large soft Medjool dates
- 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup
- A pinch of vanilla and optionally a pinch of grated tonka bean
- ice cubes
- Blender (stand mixer or hand blender) – Alternatively, you can also prepare your Cacao with a whisk, shake in a tight container and later pour over ice cubes, but you can’t use dates then, so use more maple syrup for sweetening)
If you don’t have Medjool dates, you can use other dates, pit them and soak them in water for several hours so that they are soft enough for blending.
Start by heating about 150ml of water (no more than 80 degrees) and mix with the Cacao into a creamy paste. Mix them properly with dates, vanilla (and other spices such as cardamom) in the mixer. When everything is creamy, let the thick Cacao mass cool down a bit and then add a handful of ice cubes. These are now also mixed with the Cacao, causing it to cool down completely and adding extra foam to your creamy iced elixir.
Put a handful of ice cubes in each of two glasses and pour your Iced Cacao over them to serve. You can also keep the cold Cacao in the fridge or in a thermos (which keeps it cold), take it with you to a summer picnic or serve it later.
Cacao the Heart Opener
Have you ever pondered what happens when you truly open your heart?
Not just in the quick fluffy term that sounds like butterflies and roses.
Truly opening our heart doesn’t mean we are opening it only for joy and love and happiness.
The love of the heart is unconditional – which means that it doesn´t put conditions on what it is letting in!
Once it is open it will not only take in the blissful things but also the sadness, grief and anger in the world. It will be Open to vulnerability and to lots of different viewpoints and lifestyles.
The heart doesn’t care about ego deaths and opinion conflicts, but YOU as a whole being with head, heart, body and emotions might get triggered.
Opening the heart (your own and that of others if you share cacao) comes with responsibility.
Because it can open the channel between your head and your emotions, it can bring up suppressed emotions and shine a light on underlying trauma.
In my opinion this is the real important work with cacao: holding space for yourself when you move through transformation, as life will give you the next trigger (if not in ceremony space already, then in the days after when you return to your mundane life) and it is your ability to respond that can alchemise these triggers in your heart.
Are you ready to take the next step and find true bliss in shadow alchemy and INTEGRATION?

Ceremony
FULL MOON LIVE CEREMONY
Wednesday, JULY 13th | 7pm – 9pm UK time (10:30-12:30 CET)
The Super Full Moon of July 2022 will be my last Online Cacao Ceremony before baby break until November. I am thrilled to celebrate this special Full Moon in the midst of summer with you! In this cacao ceremony I will tell you a long lost story which is very dear to my heart and a special activation. The so called Faery Accord is a prequel to the Arthurian Legends but has much more to offer than inspiration and warning. It is a myth that is as real as the myth of Cacao: When the balance of humans and nature is threatened, Cacao comes out of the rainforest to restore harmony – together with Cacao we have to take responsibility and find our gifts and medicines to bring forth in this world. And that is what we will activate together in ceremony.
